Hood Trim and Petals

Join orange yarn with ss at bottom left of hood (work clockwise around hood)
R1 - sc around (40) + sc (11) under chin over yarn wrapped around neck. Join with ss to starting sc
R2 - ch 1, turn - sc around (51). Join with ss to starting sc. Finish off. Weave in ends.

Note: Hood trim stitch count should be a multiple of 3 (51 stitches = 17 petals).

Join yellow yarn (for petals) with ss at bottom right of hood (work counter clockwise around hood).
R3 - ch2 (dc, 3 tr, dc, hdc) in same stitch, skip next stitch, sc in next stitch, *(hdc, dc, 3 tr, dc, hdc) in next stitch, skip next stitch, sc in next stitch **. Repeat * to ** around. Join with ss to beginning ch. Finish off. Weave in ends.

Review photos below and from this post before attaching arms and hood. Embroidered faces are safer for babies. Button eyes and beads are cute for older children. Be creative and enjoy the process.
