An Elf Named Aspen

Our Granddaughter has a knack for picking great names, so I asked her to name my most recent crochet creation. I love the name she chose. I think it suits this little elf perfectly.

Introducing An Elf Named Aspen. Aspen is simply adorable.

Aspen enjoyed her photoshoot outside in nature today with the sun shining brightly. She was also happy to pose indoors spinning round to show off her ruffled skirt, dapper red vest and cozy red and white striped hat and pompom.

For the crocheters out there who might like to make a similar looking little elf, I followed this pattern for Jovie, the Christmas Elf. This toy is handmade by me from a design and pattern by Knit A Miracle by Nelly.

I plan to make more in different colours with different accessories perhaps. I like to change things up just enough to keep it interesting. As always, I will be sure to share photos if and when I finish another.

Thank you to our granddaughter Evie (short for Evelyn) for suggesting the perfect name for this little elf ... Elfelyn. Love it!!

I hope Elfelyn's Christmas Message helps to brighten your day.

For the crocheters out there who might like to make a similar looking elf, I loosely followed this free pattern for the feet, legs, body, arms and hat. I made the head from my Bobo bunny pattern and the wig from this elf pattern. Elfelyn's green dress was made using a free pattern found here

All-in-all Elfelyn is mish-mash of crocheted parts combined to make one adorable little Christmas elf.
